Discover Tosamaidan Trek

The Tosamaidan Trek leads to one of Kashmir's most beautiful yet lesser-known alpine meadows, offering a pristine trekking experience away from crowded trails. Located in the Pir Panjal range, this moderate 3-4 day trek reaches approximately 12,000 feet, showcasing vast grasslands once used as ancient grazing grounds.

Trek Highlights and Best Season

Tosamaidan, meaning "treasure of meadows," features rolling green pastures stretching endlessly beneath snow-capped peaks. The area was previously off-limits due to military use but has recently opened for trekkers. June to September offers optimal conditions with blooming wildflowers and pleasant weather.

The trek starts from Khag village near Budgam district, approximately 50 kilometers from Srinagar. Trekkers traverse dense forests, cross mountain streams, and emerge onto expansive meadows offering panoramic Himalayan views. The gentle gradients make it suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness.
